GSL has these fine soldiers from the 154 Scottish Regiment joining him today during a Joint Training Exercise. Suspicions have also been confirmed regarding the Brexit Referendum coming up in 8 days.
Naomi, my sources can't speak on the record but represent a fairly broad cross section of the people who do the UK's heavy lifting...working class types many of whom have/had fathers and grandfathers that fought in the Great Wars Immigration is their big issue and they're not happy about seeing the massive flood of recent immigrants get on the dole, bleed their country dry, and not assimilate. I was surprised to hear that Glasgow & Edinburgh have sections where native Scots feel unwelcome and unsafe. I too am extremely interested in this Referendum although feel strongly it is their decision and none of our business to try to influence. I was shocked and angered Obama would have waded in and made such a foolish endorsement with accompanying "back of the queue" threat. It was stupid and backfired.
Yeah we thought that it strange coming from a country to had a revolution! and this is from someone who likes him. It is so close GSL - you have no idea. I now see why a referendum is only once a generation bc it is bloody exhausting and i have been reading up on anything and everything and studying like it is a final exam. I am pretty sure how i will vote but I am still reading up on an issue before i cross my x and post it.
I too am following closely. I'm old enough to remember when the UK entered the EU.
Naomi, if you think all the hubbub of the referendum is exhausting, try living in the US where election politics are discussed ad nauseam, 24/7 for the better part of an election year. All fascinating/interesting/bizarre, of course, but exhausting.
Oh how I wish I was there, I love a Scottish (and American) hottie in uniform! Re Brexit, I figured it would happen after the Paris attack last fall, plus seeing what a mess ol Angela M has created in Germany. What was she thinking? Give it time, I think we know how this one ends! I am reading conflicting reports about the Brexit, that maybe it won't happen after all. My current favorite story coming out of London is that the new mayor wants to end ads on trains that make people feel bad about their bodies. What? Smells like censorship to me! Perhaps his election victory will tip the scales one way or another. I think Obama should've stayed out of making a comment on the Brexit issue, who cares what he thinks about anything anymore. xx
Apparently, there aren't more pressing concerns so the new Mayor's first bold move is to keep the Tube safe from body shamers...never mind ISIS sponsored 'refugees'.
And which suspicions are those, may I ask?
ReplyDeleteBrexit will happen.
Deletewhat sources? i am interested and i am not being facetious - i am referendum obsessed!

It is going to be quite a Fall CD. Joe Biden must kick himself everyday for passing on such a golden opportunity.
