I am in North Carolina this week visiting my Mum and brother with only sporadic internet access. The Lion's Den will be back with a vengeance on Monday.
I do like that coat Ruth and that colour does seem perfect for a nippy early Spring day and notice how little GSL braves that chill in shirtsleeves and knee pants...that rugged constitution got an early start.
Oh adorable! What total cuties, were you the younger or older one? Your mother's coat matches the shutters, that shade of blue-green is just wonderful, what would you call that shade? She's so pretty and chic, reminds me of a British actress and I will come up with the name soonest (just been on jury duty and brain fried and gloomy rooms) When I was 17 I was an exchange student in New Canaan Ct, just next to Westport and have wonderful memories of that area...
I am the chubby younger one on Mum's left and my dear Auntie J lived for a time in New Canaan and my Uncle had a hand in bringing 'The Ice Storm' (set in New Canaan) to the big screen. When it came out I remember my Aunt & Uncle sorting out who was who IRL....as those 'key parties' were rumored about back then...
I adore this picture of you with your stylish mother and brother! I just want to pinch those cute cheeks! Enjoy your visit. Looking forward to hearing what's on your mind next week! XO, Jill
Look at those cute chubby cheeks! What darling babies. Have fun with your Mum.
ReplyDeleteWe're having a grand time Dani especially with my Mum's pup Dolly basking in the presence of her long lost Uncle.
DeleteI love how your mother's coat matches the shutters on the house. No wonder you have an appreciation of all things elegant.
ReplyDeleteJen, now you know where I got my eye for colour.

CD, that little laddy even got happier when the ice cream truck rang his bell in front of our house.
